Roopam Asthana is the CEO and the Whole Time Director of Liberty General Insurance Ltd.

He is an IIM Ahmedabad alumnus and is the founding employee of the company and has played a pivotal role in the formation of the joint venture, along with the licensing of the company, from the very beginning. Under his pragmatic leadership, the Company will complete its 10 years of operations in 2023 in India.

With an experience that spans over 25 years, he has worked as the Chief Executive Officer for the SBI Cards and Payment Services Pvt. Ltd. and GE Capital Business Process Management Services Pvt. Ltd.

He has garnered immense experience in the introduction of transformational financial strategies and high-growth consumer financial services, through well thought out and planned progression of practices. He has worked across banking assignments in HSBC India and USA; spanning verticals like Financial Control, Credit Cards, NRI Banking, Strategic Planning, Corporate Banking, as well as Consumer Banking.

With a rich experience, he continues to build and sustain lasting relationships with customers as well as stakeholders, remaining grounded in the values, while at the same time moving forth with innovative strategies and technologies.
