Avtar Monga graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce from Delhi University, a master’s in commerce from Agra University and an MBA from BIMTECH.

He has had 38+ years of work experience which includes:

• COO/ED/Head Retail Bank, IDFC Bank

Avtar built a grounds-up Bank including technology stack by evaluating global solutions and benchmarking as well as leveraged the emerging tech eco system such as UPI and BillPay. He also developed the concept of Bank in a Box and built digitally enabled retail banks.

• Managing Director, Bank of America

He got promoted to head the GDCE globally and transformed the delivery from a country specific model to a globally fully integrated model. He also founded the captive of Bank of America which scaled up to over 22,600 employees and 14000 Contractors across locations serving technology, operations across all lines of business as well as front-office needs across markets

• GE Capital

Avtar worked with SBI cards to establish the company as the third largest card issuer with 1.2 Million live accounts. He is also the recipient of (Pinnacle) GE Capital’s highest Global Award in 2000 and 2002
