Jayaram Philkana is the President and Global Chief Human Resources Officer at Glenmark Pharmaceuticals and is based in Mumbai. He serves as a board member and Chairman of the Compensation Committee of Ichnos Sciences Incorporated which is a Biotech company with HQ and operations in the US and Switzerland. 

Prior to this, he has worked in UPL Limited (formerly known as United Phosphorous Limited) as Global CHRO from 2014-18 and in Cargill Inc., during 1996-2015as HR Director based in India, Indonesia, Singapore, and USA. He started his career in HR in 1991 with SmithKline Beecham Consumer Healthcare.

Jayaram is a Commerce graduate from Andhra University and did his PG Diploma (Hons) in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations from XLRI, Jamshedpur in 1991.
