Charles Walter
Charles has over two and a half decades of HR leadership experience, crisscrossing Information Technology, Consulting & Manufacturing industry across geographies including the United States, Europe & South-east Asia.
He currently oversees the People Strategy, HR Management & Development domains across Hyundai Motor India.
As an empathetic thinker, a people-centric practioner & a global business focused leader Charles has many accolades in setting up People Framework & Human-centric Systems as part of Mergers & Acquisitions; effecting Culture Transformation in a joint venture arrangement: building Leadership levels to support Business outcome; Peer-led Agile Work Groups to enhance co-creation & foster innovation and importantly devotes much time to nurture young talent.
At Hyundai, under his leadership the HR Team had garnered much credence for institutionalizing leadership excellence, pioneering ‘smart’ work culture and establishing futuristic people practices including the industry inspiring role-based framework.
He Chairs the Human Capital Group at the Society of Indian Automobile Manufactures (SIAM) and works to skill-up the nation being a Member, Governing Council of the Automobile Skill Development Corporation (ASDC) and as a Member, CII National Committee for Skilling & Livelihood.
An ardent lover of country music, Charles also spends time reading and volunteering
